Cool, don't forget you'll need to drop the resolution down to 720i to get a decent refresh rate (50hz) on a 3DTV. At 1080i it's only 24hz so atrocious input lag apart from anything else. But as I said earlier, I can't see any difference in-game.You should try out 3D with Batman Arkham City, it will be a lot less disappointing than FC3. The game even has some of those cheesy 3D-movie type cut scenes for effect. However it looks on the TV your panel, and NV glasses will trump it hands down but you'll get the idea.
Oh just remembered I actually have a question I've been meaning to ask you guys.Do you get that every now and then when games go ' has stopped responding' or some fatal errors? I've gotten that on Assassin's Creed 3, Far Cry 3, Modern Warfare 2, Witcher 2 I think. And a couple random games.Clearly I can run them all with my spec, I downloaded the latest drivers, everything is up to date. But still have some issues gaming every now and then.- and I don't even understand the reason for a game to stop responding.Thoughts?
Click to expand.I can't find the 380 module anywhere, i googled this thing for a good 5 minutes too lol. Checked ebay to no avail, but there ARE dell 380 BT modules. Weird. As for the alienware logo, i believe you will lose that because the logo just has black taping on the back, therefore when u take it off, that mutli colored LED will just be an right light underneath, rendering the loss of the alienware logo. That and the fact that those multicolored LED will be glaring in your eyes, you will most likely take it off, since you're trying to get rid of glare anyways. Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself. I've been pretty active in the Sager and Gaming forums for a while, but I'm finally joining the dark side after wanting an AW for years.
RE: Alienware m17x r3 - Windows 10 Jump to solution This system will be able to run windows 10 but you may need you to look for the drivers in the components manufacture website. I acquired this Alienware M17x yesterday, all it had was the system itself and the power cable. Upon first start up I got a no operating system message. The sticker under the laptop had a windows 7 key so I used a windows 7 disc and installed the OS Now on to the fun part. I had audio when finished.
My NP9150 in for sale, and I just placed an order for a brand new Nebula Red M17xIt was expensive, but it'll blow my old Sager out of the water in terms of performance, and it'll look better doing it, too lol. Update to Alienware M17R4, PC runs great but a bit hot, got a cooler which helps.Added RAM, now maxxed at 32 Gb.I love the build quality and ease of access that this laptop provides.Used for the first time on battery the night before last as I leave my cord at my desk at work.Ran battery down to 32%, plugged in at work, says 32% not charging.Called AW tech support, they were very helpful, but did upgrade the system to A-10 bios (thus far no issues) which did not help.We ran the diagnostic which said that the power input was 150 Watts. Should be 240 for a dual video model per the tech.Apparently I received the wrong power brick with the unit (the unit was an warrantied upgrade replacement for an XPS17) when they replaced it.The tech scheduled a Dell tech to bring me another brick. The tech called me at 8 AM this morning and will be here within the hour.Huge Kudos for the support that Dell has given me for the recent issues, they have been great.I hope that it continues, and that you all get as good support as I have received recently.
